Hi everyone! I'm Joe and I've been turning for a little over two years now. My friend bought me a voucher to take a woodturning class at Hatchspace over in Brattleboro, VT and I was instantly hooked! My day job is IT so woodturning and woodworking in general is such a great way to unplug from technology. I started out with a WEN benchtop lathe, but while making an urn, the thing really struggled. I just bought a Jet 1840 a few month's ago and it has been game changing to say the least! I enjoy turning everything from bowls, plates, urns, pens, and more. I still have so much to learn, but I really want to learn segmented turning. I still find it rather intimidating as understanding the process is currently like trying to understand quantum mechanics. Anyway, I digress. Here are some pics of stuff I've made.
Have a great day and I'll see you all in the forums!
