Greetings and Salutations from Central Colorado.

Why I'm here: I just acquired a "new to me" Jet JWL-1236 lathe and I'm hoping to gain some valuable experience from the folks here.

As a kid I used my Dad's rather crude wood lathe so I'm not completely a green horn. Fast forward 4 decades... I'm retired and wanting to get back into turning some wood.

I grew up on a small farm in Ohio. Fixing whatever is broken was the way I was raised.

Other tools I have: My maternal Grandfathers 1940's era DeWalt Radial Arm Saw, a floor type drill press, Hitachi Chop Saw as well as the usual hand tools, etc.

Looks to be a great site here, I'll post some threads in one of the applicable forums. Just wanted to introduce myself before I jumped in and started asking questions.

Thanks ;)
