I'm new to turning, I've just set up a workshop in the garage of my first house. I have an old Rockwell 4 speed wood lathe that I got off of Craigslist for free that I'm working with. I'm still figuring out how all of this works and I'm interested to see what I can learn here on the forums.

Welcome to the forum Kevin. Very experienced turners here that are happy to help you with any questions that you might have. Happy turning.

Welcome. Free? That is my favorite word. There might be a manual available on the 'Net. Try a search, using the brand and model number.

Welcome to the group. Turning is so much fun and there is so much you can do. Find a.club if possible. The AAW site has a club locator. Videos are t bad but there are a lot of really bad ones. Anything you can find by Alan Batty, stewart Batty, richard Raffen, alan Lacer, and Lyle Jamieson are good. I also have a.few. go to you tube and type in John60lucas.
