Lacquer Compatability

Can someone tell me is Watco lacquer is compatible with MinWax lacquer?

Pete, I've read on other forums that people have stated Minwax and Watco interchangeably without compatibility issues. This was from a forum where they make and finish guitars. I've used both lacquers and found out that after time the Minwax seems to have a little checking, however, I've never used one over the other as other people have.

I've mixed layers of different brands of lacquer without any problems. Some brands dry faster than others. Allow one coat to completely dry before applying another layer of a different brand.
