Greetings, My club is looking to disperse a collection of wood, roughly 100 lots through an online auction. We seek a no frills, online tool, with proxy bidding, and a flat rate up-front cost of running. Any advice or experiences with this is greatly appreciated. cheers, Steve

If this is more of a local auction you could easily manage a 100 lots of items for sale on an excel spreadsheet and list the lots
on CraigsList with an email only response. If you have to include shipping for each lot to the buyer it might be easier to list
the lots on eBay or a similar site. Someone still needs to package up each lot and calculate shipping and attach a shipping
label to each lot and drop it off to the shipping carrier. Shipping can get expensive depending on the size and weight of the
package being shipped out. You will want to compare the costs for the different sized packages and weights using FedEx
and UPS and your regional carrier in Canada the size and weights make a big difference between the different carriers.
I have shipped a number of items to Canada over the years and they seem to always come up with an additional cost to
get the package to the final destination in Canada other than what USPS puts on a package.

Shipping wood between Canada and the U.S. can be very expensive. If you sell many lots to U.S. customers then consider having someone drive the packages across border for someone to pickup or ship. Flat rate packages are often the best way to ship heavy turning blanks because fees aren’t based on package weight.

I forgot to mention that the lots will be for pickup only and the auction is intended as a private auction among our members only. Thanks Keith for the 32auctions tip. They look promising, except that they do not have a bulk upload feature.

Private and members only? Can't you just have an auction on a Saturday? Especially since they have to pick it up anyway.
