Hi all,

I am new to turning as I just started about 8 months ago but I am absolutely hooked. I have turned around 60 pens and some I think are good enough to sell. I am still working on my website but if you have the time I would appreciate any feedback that you have.

www.functioning-art.com

I have recently started turning bowls so I am sure I will be a regular here.

Rick,
Your site looks very good, and has a number of easy to use features. I thought the way the item photos blow up to show the details was very cool. Keep on turning!

Very nice turnings and website. Easy to navigate and see. I tried to look at the website code but it doesn't show up. Not sure how much help thats going to be with search engine placement.

Huh? Viewable in Firefox. There seems to be a lot of blank space in the code, but I'm no expert on HTML. Search engines should do just fine (as if I would know).:o

I agree, otherwise.

Looks great my only critique is the main page don't fit the screen.I hate having to move the bar back and forth to read everything. The turnings are very nice. What Finish are you using?

Agree with Kurts thoughts as well . You also did a great job with the pictures.

Rick,
Hows that pricing structure working out for you, do you sell a lot of those?

I was wondering the same ? Do you sell more with the web site or in person , whether it be shows or retail ? BTW what part of the country are on in ?

Try adjusting your browser. Page fills screen nicely on my machine, in both Firefox and IE8.

Welcome to the forum Rick. Only suggestion I have is to include a "return to home page" link on each of your product specific pages so that it isn't necessary to click back through several pages, using the back button on the browser, to reach that goal. Nice site ...
