My name is Martin Thompson, Bismarck, North Dakota. I spent forty years as a petroleum landman and am retired. Been turning for about four years. Still learning about woodturning so I will have many questions or conversations on the forum.

Nor Dakoda, 9 months of Winter to spend in the shop turning wood, and 3 months of Spring, Summer, Fall to harvest wood. :-)
I traveled in North Dakota for a number of years working, hunting, fishing and snowmobiling, Spring and Fall days could change from a warm sun shiny day to a blizzard in several hours. Your have a nice shop and lathe!
