Hello everybody! After 25 years working as a union carpenter in the Boston area, I have retired, and I am looking to take up bowl turning.
I would like some advice about a good starter set up – lathe, tools, etc. I would very much like to buy good quality used equipment that I won’t have to replace within six months as I increase my skill and experience levels. Who can give me some advice? As with any tool purchase, there is a sweet spot between price and value that experienced users understand – can you help me with this?
Also, are there any good classes in the Norwood area you would recommend? Thank you.
