I have turned alabaster on lathe for about 4 years and on the bed side it seems to have developed a slight wobble. Its ok on outboard side. I have put some really heavy stones on lathe, ones that take 2 men to pickup. Was wondering if it could be bearing on bed side. Can't detect and movement. Is possible to get parts for lathe? hope someone can help. I am still turning stone, just have to be careful to not set rpms too high on large stone.

Sounds like you need new bearings in the headstock for the spindle. You can get them at Grainger or McMaster-Carr or other similar places.
