Mesquite bowl with maple leaf rim carving

Both the piercing
Will you share with us how you carved and pierced these two bowls?

Both the piercing and the carving were done with a high-speed, air operated engraver (NSK Pronto II) For the maple leaves, they were outlined on the rim with a laser. Each leaf was then outlined with a diamond ball bit. The same bit was then used to engrave the veins of each leaf. Details were carved with a slender tapered diamond bit. The background relief was carved using both ball and flame diamond bits, The piercing was done using 699 carbide bit without a predetermined pattern. Each piercing was done randomly.
