I've been following AAW for years without introducing myself. I'm a retired, mid-level, high-tech drone ;)

I've been turning for about 10 years, using a JET 1221. I live in the Middle-Of-Nowhere, Texas, so my mentors have been (and still are) the usual suspects on Youtube.

Bowls are my favorite things to turn. I've done quite a few CrushGrind peppermills, along with "weed pots". I want to get into hollow forms after I work through some peppermill and gnome/gonk stock on hand.

I want to thank everyone who has helped me out and inspired me while I was lurking here.

Cheers!

Oh, and my shop is a small, unimproved, one-car garage outbuilding. I use conventional turning tools although I have a couple of carbide tools that I haven't grown to love. My tools are predominantly Thompson, Carter and Son, and D-Way, in no particular order.
