I love to do turnings a large as the lathe will allow, but mini stuff is always fun and usually a lot faster. I use the Jet mini lathe and a long jaw chuck for turning the tiny stuff. I found a 1/8" veining gouge from Crown that is the same shape as a bowl gouge. It sharpens and cuts the same, I just need magnifiers to keep track of it.
