My Osmo experiments

I recently purchased some Osmo Polyx -oil in satin finish (3043). My first application was on an ash bowl sanded to 800 grit. I used a nonwoven clean room wipe to apply a thin coat of oil. After 10 minutes I used a paper towel to wipe off the access oil. I then let it dry for 24 hours before applying a second thin coat. Again after 10 minutes I wiped off the access oil with a paper towel. After 2 coats of oil I was very satisfied with the satin look of the finished bowl. I had been using tung oil for the last year but I will probably switch over to Osmo since it dries in 24 hours and looks good. It is pricey but a little goes a long way. I have transferred it to a stop loss bag...from what I read it might last me 5 years!
