I've had this for a while and I have no clue where I bought it or who made it. I've had a few people ask me about it, and I feel stupid not knowing. (and if I ever lose it, I'll want another) Besides a positive grip, it allows a very quick change from between centers, to chuck mounted.

Never saw one like this. What is the diameter of the back side?
And is it cylindrical or dovetailed?
It's just straight sided and about 2" diameter. There's a shoulder to rest against the faces of the jaws and the 2 lugs on the back go between the jaws. Even if it's only hand tight, it will stay in place and not slip.
