New Carter/Son X Mike Mahoney Hollowing System

It looks like it has just been released. I took a class from Mike back in 08, we used the Dennis Stewart system, which was discontinued. This looks very similar. If Mike designed this, I am quite sure it's good.

No, but it appears to be a good manual system. I’ve done a lot of hand held hollowing, which is what motivated me to get a captive system. The risk of injuring the back hand/elbow/shoulder is very real, and the risk increases the further the cutter is extended off the tool rest.

I would agree Doug. I use manual systems myself, but if I was turning something quite deep, I would get a captive system.
