Welcome aboard Bill.

Bill will do a fine job.
Good choice.

Bill, welcome and I look forward to you doing a great job- just like your turnings.

Woo hoooo..........Mr. B is a treasure trove of knowledge on a variety of subjects! No doubt he will do a fine job!

Thanks for the vote of confidence, guys. Actually, my job is fairly simple and doesn't involve exercising any superpowers (I wasn't issued a cape or a title -- it's more like being a stealth mod). And, there won't be any banning for life or any other such stuff. Occasionally, somebody doesn't know or forgets the forum rule about posting no more than two images per day in the gallery. The reason for the limit of two images per day is so that there will be sufficient opportunity for folks to view and comment on recently posted turnings before they scroll off the page into hyperspace. So, if you have a bunch of photos of your turning that you would like for others to see, just spread them out over a span of several days so that photos posted by others will have their chance to be seen as well.

Roger, I don't know about being a treasure trove of knowledge ... I understand that sucking up to a mod is considered a capital offense. :D

So Bill.......instead of being a "bouncer", you will be more like a "traffic cop" who directs traffic in an intersection......?

No doubt you will take your duties seriously, and will provide a service to the forums........good luck!:D

That is a good way to summarize it. Moderating the forum gallery (my intersection using your traffic cop analogy) is for folks to enjoy and I am not nor do I want to be the Barney Fife of the Internet. I will see if we can make the photo posting rules more conspicuous. Right now, there is some conflicting information in old rules and some of the information is a bit hard to find for those who aren't frequent posters.

So if my images start disappearing I now know whom to hunt down ....... :P
"ve haff wayz to making you talk"

Congrats Bill, no doubt you'll do a fine job, just lay off the doughnuts, and no disco dancing in the middle of the intersection!
