We have started a new forum, the back porch, for those of you would like to engage in off topic discussions. I know these types of sub-forums have been real popular on other boards. While we have always (sortof) encouraged the same kind or electronic social interaction, we now have a "special" place for it.

- Enjoy

(And thanks to Ken Grunke for the name)

The scenario in my mind was a big woodturner's meeting in this huge meeting lodge, and everyone in the house talked turning because that's what they came there to do. After a while, some folks just had to break away and drifted out the back door to this big ol' porch with a bunch of semi-comfortable chairs and a fat railing all around at just the right height to park yer arse on. Three wide plank stairsteps going down to the yard for the step-sitters, and a couple picnic tables just out from the porch railing completed the Norman Rockwellish picture.
"Come on, Otis, let's go out back and you can tell me about that new hydraulic lift table you just got."
"Be glad to, Jake, it's getting kinda hard to think in here with all the different conversations, and I'm itchin' fer a cigarette anyway!"

Great idea. Love it when the leadership thinks outside the box.

It will be a pleasure to sit and listen to a couple of folks, from this forum, jaw about anything that crosses their mind. Provided I can hear over the guitar and the howling hound. :D
