nova 35mm jaws

I also have a set of these. I don’t find them to be very useful, as they only grip in expansion mode. The record power jaws will also grip a tenon

Been looking for a set of bowl jaws in the 1.22-2" range and All I see is Nova JS-SP35 which is a spigot type.Am I missing something?
Thanks

I have these and they fill a spot in my jaw range. I have both Vicmarc and Nova chucks, but if you only have Nova you will need to look up threads on jaw compatibility.

Tom, Got this today from their " tech support" who sent me a chart

(6019) 35mm Bowl Jaws Precision Midi* 1.50 1.85 .32 .71 .39 .75
G3 1.50 2.32 .32 1.14 .39 1.22
SUPERNOVA2 1.50 2.32 .32 1.14 .39 1.22
Titan III 1.50 2.72 .32 1.54 .39 1.61
I'm using supernova chucks
Will investigate alternates. Seems odd Nova should skip this range
Thanks to all

The Nova Chuck Accessory step Jaw Set (SKU JS75DT) small area is 1.65". Here is an accessory jaw travel table. I have been a Teknatool (Nova) customer for over 20 years and have never not had a responce to a question or problem that I inquired about, never. I have a 20+ year old Nova DVR3000 that has been upgradeable throughout its life and still runs like the day I bought it, Over 25 Nova chucks and at least 40 jaw sets, a Nova 14DR and I recently ordered a Nova Neptune that for me will be a game changer in the Midi lathe field. Looking for a 180° rotating head with stops in between that moves up and down the bed with a DVR motor, 1.5 HP @ 115 V (more if you wire it at 220 V). 15" over the bed and 20" rotated 180°. Stay tuned its due in mid April.

I have the Nova 35 mm jaws, and as mentioned, they are not built like the usual jaws. They are OK on small tenons (3/4" IIRC), but don't really fill the 'smaller tenon than 2" jaws' niche. It seems to me that Nova offered just what you're looking for at one time, but stopped doing so.

You are correct that Nova does not offer good jaws for tenons in that size range. That is why, like some others, I have the Record Power 35mm p/n 62321 bird beak jaws. Range is ~1-1/4” to 1-3/4” on my nova g3. They only use 1 screw per jaw but it has not posed any issues. I conclude that any of the sc3 or 4 jaws will fit nova chucks since this jaw set does.

I also have a set of these. I don’t find them to be very useful, as they only grip in expansion mode. The record power jaws will also grip a tenon

I have a set of these also, and was really surprised to find they don’t work in compression mode. Took me a while to realize why they wouldn’t work. If. Can find the receipt I will return them.

The inside of the standard Grizzly jaws go down to 1.25 inside and outside about 1.75. They seem to fit my Nova chuck just fine.

I have an extra set. Pm me
