This jaw set is rated for minimum swing diameter of the lathe.

I am not sure how to equate that because I am used to thinking in maximum swing. To me minimum swing on a lathe would be zero.

Minimum swing

Minimum swing of 12" means your lathe must have 12" swing(or more) for these to work... ie they wont fit on a 9" swing lathe. Th mini cole should work on most lathes!
