Hand hold blocks for extension mandrels.

While I had these out, camera in hand, I thought I might as well take a picture!

I'm sure many of you are using the available extension mandrels for disc sanding. I know CSUSA sells them, but it's a common item that I purchased at a local hardware store.

When sanding deep into the interior of a bowl, they are great to have on hand.......and I'm sure you've found that using your fingers to steady the neck is what is required for stability and control.

I've been using these cylindrical blocks of wood and one stainless steel tube wrapped in plastic tape for the job......and, sure am glad to have them in my kit! :D:cool2:

I'm sure everyone reading this has a lathe, so I'll dispense with the "how-to's"......you can figure out how to make them! Heh,heh, heh!
