There are several calculators that work well with closed segment rings out there but, are there any that will help calculate the dimensions for an open segment ring?

I’m a big fan of Lloyd Johnson’s SegmentPro. It not only helps with all the calculations, it is a great design assistant, easy to use.
As a newbe segmented turner and a newer open segmented turner(currently working on my third small project) I have used both Segment Project Planner and the Woodturner Pro suite and I prefer Woodturner Pro Segment Pro. So easy to use once you do a few projects.
You can design shapes and profiles along with degrees of open segments.

It has calculators for a hundred different things, one of which is a "Segmented Turning Calculator" It's not fancy, but it is free, and it works. For the open segments, there is a place for "gaps".

Segment Pro is the best and LLoyd is a very effective helper
I am really turned off by solutions that want to run a certain OS as a virtual machine in order to use their product. A pencil and paper work just fine.
I figure what the segment size would be in a closed ring and then depending on what spacing i want between the segments, normally i use 70-75% of the closed ring segment size
