Here are some shots of my Sunday output. The first is a shot of a BLM Burl bowl, 19 inches x 3+. When completed it will contain a myriad of turned and decorated wooden sphere.

Examples are included below. The frst of the 4 is a 3 inch diameter (they are all 3 inches) sphere with white milk paint, mounted on my vacumm chuck and my Delta midi lathe. This sphere will be decorated shortly.

The next 3 shots are "harlequins". sorry for the soft focus ... camera is in for calibration and collation tests.

Nice burl bowl, but I don't know what BLM wood is.

The camera focus is on the background. This can happen when focusing on an edge and one side of the edge is near and the other side is some distance behind it. The best way to focus is to find a high contrast edge where both side are the same distance from the lens. If you are using all points full-auto focusing, I suggest that you use center point only auto focus. Anyway, it is not a camera problem, but just an issue of using the right focus setup for the type of subject being photographed.
