Plumier Foundation

This organization will interest you then (if you don't already know about them).

I have been plowing through this forum's archives and mention in one post of an Oliver 25B patternmakers lathe serendipitously led me to this site ornamental turning studio. Anyone here familiar with it? There are some very intricate objects and minty machines depicted on the site.
Kevin,

The Plumier foundation is well founded by some people who are really dedicated to ornamental turning. And it seems to be well funded for ensuring this art / craft continues moving forward. And Mark is right: look at the OTI.

For the basics of OT, you could look at the Ornamental Turning Book of Knowledge.

Kind regards,
Rich

In better times the OTI has had in the past a yearly symposium, I enjoyed the one I was able to attend.
