I noticed a couple of the people displaying work identified same as "seed pods",not seed pots. I thought "Seed Pods" were containers of seeds on trees/shrubs/etc., and "Seed Pots" were seed containers used by our ancestors to store said seeds. Maybe there is something I am missing, and I should re-label the roundy things in my galleries.....

Mr Don,

I don't know what you saw, but Jack de Vos makes an elegant seedpod. Check out his site.

Jack de Vos
Ed....I just viewed Jack's site....yup THOSE are seed PODS. The ones I was refering to were in the photo gallery today, by "tatooedturner". Please note "Indian Blanket Seed Pod" and "Segmented seed pod #001". I rest my case... :D :D

Seed POTS

Seed Pots, I'm told, are what the native American Indians kept seeds in, awaiting planting season. They were usually earthen pots. Not sure if that's what Mark used or not. :D
Seed Pots are sometimes confused with Water Pots, which were usually smaller, tied together, in a group, with leather. Water Pots were dipped into a stream to fill them with water so the group could all get a drink.
They are both usually round with a small opening inside a flaired top. I'm not sure, but I don't believe either of them had a flattened spot on the bottom.
I'm not the smartest kid in class, though, so someone may correct me here... :D
