For 10 years or so I have used a pyrography pen to sign my work. Have noticed that after a year or so this fades out. I figured it may be finishes (I use a lot of Danish Oil, wipe on poly, and waxes) or the wood itself (many types). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm new to burning my name. I usually sign before finishing. When I used a pen sometimes I would have trouble with the finish smearing the name but I changed finishes and started writing with a Dremel engraver. It never smears or wears off. I like the subtle nature of this signature but if you want it to stand out just rub some colored wax into it. I use Rub-n-buff gold or copper.
