Review of the Oneway Dust hood

I ordered a Oneway Dust Hood this past Summer. This is a terrific product for Oneway 2436 lathe owners. I have been using it for a while and here is a link to my review of that product.

I also ordered one just after Christmas, thought it would be shipped just after the first of the New Year, now they are on backorder and a month out. I have used some dust collectors made by David Lancaster, I am sure he is the prime mover behind Oneways effort to make this new product. The old ones worked to various degrees but not totally satisfactory. I hope the new concept works much better.
My collection unit is a 2 hp Oneida , large filter, and cyclone dedicated to collecting sanding dust.
This report is much better than what Oneway has avaible now.

I purchased the dust hood in February and it came a month later. Poor packing and rough handling by Oneway and UPS resulted in many missing parts and significant damage. It has taken a month to get missing parts from Oneway. The replacement parts were ones that had been repaired from existing parts including a plastic window instead of glass. My experience has been less than satisfactory. Only now, two months later, have I started to us it.
