Rikon 70-450 ?????

While I've never seen that model, I have seen the larger one. It looked good, just an older style design. The Rikon equipment seems to be middle of the road, however I would venture to guess this is a decent machine. Will be interesting to see if anyone owns this unit and their impression.

Numbers look good. I especially like the six speed ranges designed to keep the motor operating near optimum speed.

Mid/low switch position is an improvement over the headstock type, toolpost is offset and quill travel is good. Only objection I have is that short legged people may find the single height stand inconvenient. Leaves only poor choices for adjustment.
