Hello everyone, I’m Ryan Sohn and I’m from Iowa. I’ve been turning for around 3 years and started by making pens and smaller turnings. Recently I’ve been diving in head first on making bowls of various sizes up to around 11” as that is my current lathes capacity. I’m also in the process of researching a new larger lathe so I’m sure I’ll have some questions. Looking forward to all the knowledge available here!!

Once i actually finish some I definitely will. Only been roughing for twice turned bowls. Lots of spalted maple, walnut, box elder, oak and elm.
