I'm trying to plan the trip and need to know what's happening on Friday and Sunday so I can plan arrival and leaving times. It's about a 7 1/2 hour drive and want to plan accordingly. I could not find the info on the AAW site other than there is a cupcake decorating class on Friday for the spouses. May have to attend that. :)

Symposium schedule available on the AAW Web Site

John:

The current schedule for the Symposium is available at:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/wm2knqab1uvy9iv/postedGrid2013-3pages.pdf

This is a 3-page grid of all demonstrations and other scheduled symposium activities put together by coordinator extraordinaire, Al Hockenbery.

I think you'll be able to decide how to plan your travel once you have seen the grid. Recall that there are some activities on Thursday evening as well....

John, I love the cupcake boxes you are making, but you could go to the next level with the frosting ... think about attending that class! Seriously.

Betty Don't know if we will get there early enough. We do have classes around here and in fact one of my friends Wife in Knoxville teaches it so I may do that. I actually bought some icing to play with but if I make the cupcakes I'll eat them. :) My doctor has put me on a low cholesterol diet. She sent me a list of foods I'm supposed to avoid and apparently she just copied my grocery list and sent it. :) Sugary foods are one of them and god knows I love cupcakes and doughnuts.

My doctor boiled it down to the pure essence of what I need to know when deciding what to eat. He said, "if it tastes good then spit it out!"

I am not sure how lying fits into this rule if I want to claim that I don't like cupcakes.

I know for a fact that cardboard, water, and Styrofoam are all OK.

I had hoped to go and meet a bunch of the Easterners (just about everything is 'out east' from here), but a fishing trip with my 90 year old dad, some brothers and a few others has priority. Looking for a trophy Northern in NW Ontario Canada. I will have to wait till next year in Phoenix.

Reed:

You have your priorities correct! Enjoy the fishing with your dad, et al. - I hope you have MANY tight lines and long fights (with the fish, that is...!!).

It was great to meet you last year in San Jose! See you in Phoenix 2014!!

So you already know how the items on your new shopping list will taste...
