I started my Woodturning journey as a segmenter more than 30 years ago. I have a fairly large amount of exotic woods that I need to sell so that I don’t still have it in my shed when I’m dead and gone for my kids to deal with. Not going anywhere any time soon but decided I need to deal with it. I keep thinking I might get back to segmenting but got too many other roads I am following. I tried selling it through my club but did not have much interest. I could post a board at a time here or eBay, instagram…. But would rather deal with bigger lots. Was thinking about putting together a mix of boards that would fit into a large flat rate game box and selling it that way. Do you have any thoughts on what would be the best way to approach this. I appreciate any feedback

How much for the entire lot? Any specifics on board feet of each species? Is the picture the entire lot? Would you be willing to bundle and ship?

Very familiar with this issue Jim, not so much segmenting but wood stash in general. It measures in tons, I gave away 3 ute loads about 1.2 tons per
load. Nobody in my family is into woody stuff, so most would end up as firewood, I suspect.

Webb - I had the local wood supplier offer to buy it all so I tested him with a bundle of tulipwood. He offered me 20$/bf when the going price is well north of $100/bf. I know he needs to make some profit but I said no thanks. It would take some work but I could and should probably know how many board feet of each species I have. Way too much wood to bundle and ship as one lot. Not everything is pictured.
