Selling my MDF rose engine

Hi Fred,

I am in the search for a rose engine and cant decide on a MFD rose engine versus a Lindow rose engine. I know there is a large cost difference but I also have noticed that you have both. Can you share with me your thought on why you switched.

Have you sold your MDF rose engine?

Regards

Peter Lang

The MDF rose engine electronics has some capabilities that the Lindow does not (yet), but the Lindow is a sturdier machine. Make no mistake, I have made many beautiful things on the MDF rose engine. However, I did get a terrific deal on the used Lindow, I got a full set of attachments for it.
No, I have not sold it yet. Where are you located?

From my listing:
This is a hybrid combination of a V1 MDF Rose Engine lathe with V2 electronics. The lathe was originally built as a V1, then the stepper motors were added. I put a metal sheet over the bed to allow use of magnetic positioning. I added two Parker-Daedal linear positioners at right angles to make a cross slide with stepper motors. If you are not familiar with the MDF Rose Engine, a tremendous amount of information about it is at https://mdfre2.colvintools.com/ I have 9 rosettes for it. It has an overhead drive for your cutting frame.

I am located in Orlando, FL. I am asking $3000 for it.
Location
Oviedo, FL 32765 That is just outside Orlando
