For the difference in cost is there equal difference in quality between the Wolverine sharpening jig VS the PSI version which appears to be a clone.?

I like the Wolverine one better, also I tried to use the new Wolverine Jig on the PSI one last night and it wouldn't fit because of where the locking screw was located on the PSI mount. Also the oneway has a optionial smaller tool rest which may not fit on the PSI too.
I've had the PSI jig for about 5 years or so, and have had no complaints. (Granted, I've been primarily using a Tormek setup on my gouges for the past couple of years.) The Wolverine is better built - typical of Oneway - but the PSI jig as served its purpose for me and did a fine job on fingernail grinds on a gouge. As was mentioned, I don't think the Wolverine jigs and accessories like the truing tool will fit the PSI base. If I were buying today, I'd still save the $100 or so and get the PSI setup. Or just get the Tormek jigs for a dry grinder.

I had the PSI and really never liked it. There are two handles to adjust to move the rod and it's just not as user friendly. I'm much happier with the Wolverine which as a cam lock handle that doesn't have much of a throw and locks perfectly.

Thanks for the info. I'm thinking now will probably go Wolverine rather than wish I had spent add. 100 bucks down the line.

I've had the Wolverine since the first ones came out on the market, and am very pleased with it. A friend got the PSI version and it has it's drawbacks.
I won't go into details but the Wolverine out classes it totally.
Spend the extra bucks, you won't be disappointed.

I have the Wolverine system and like it. Just watch the video a couple of times to pick up on adjustments.

I know that this one is not in your comparrison list but why don't you take a look at Sharpfast. It solves some of the problems that the Wolverine has. That being said Wolverine works great is you don't loose your common sense. Sharpfast eliminates falling off of the wheel. I have no monetary interest in this company.

Or you could just make one out of a block of wood and a piece of drill rod? I don't know about you, but I don't change angles on mine, and it would be easy enough to make 2 or 3 of them if you had a few different gouges.
