Greetings all

Since I have wondered "aloud" here about the value of membership in the national, I have voted with my money, and signed up for another year of membership. I don't know how involved I will be on the national level, probably not much at all, but it keeps me in the mix. At the least I will be getting involved in at least one regional symposium, and maybe more. Besides, when part deux comes out, I can put "member of the AAW" somewhere in the credits. ;)

Now we've got ya Bill. You will be ruined forever. Hey maybe your magazine will come on time now. John

Bill,

Glad to see you re-upped. Now, no matter how late my magazine arrives, I will have the pleasure of knowing that someone else's will be later. :p

Renewed as well kudos to the staff

I enjoyed my first year, I have found that the magazine has gone through a serious upgrade in the last 12-18 months! Kudos to the people who are making it happen.

Well, I suppose someone has to be the last one to get their magazine, so it might as well be me. Maybe one of the authors will review my DVD in the journal this year - ;) ;) nudge nudge - before the next one comes out that is.

Bill,

All that takes is a couple of satisfied purchasers writing to the Journal and singing the DVD's praises. Mr. Grum Billbine could be the first of many :D

So ole' chap, you signed up hoping to sell more DVDs?

Isn't this rather exploitive of you? Perhaps there is a better venue for your commercial endeavors!

Cheers

Gosh John, you're right! What could I have been thinking, trying to trick turners into buy a turning video! Why, that puts me in league with people who sell (gasp!) tools, and (oh, the horror) wood! How thoughtless of me! I must have been out of my head when I wrote that. Consider the idea dead, and I'll never think of it again! :D :D

Hi Jake

If only I could find a couple of people who actually liked the thing. I'd probably have to pay someone to write or call in. :D

Sorry, Bill. I still haven't got my copy yet. Of course, I tend to sit in the back of the room and things always take a tad bit longer to get there. I suppose I could relinquish the privilege of being last, though, if you have your heart set on it. :)

Bill, Since you're blatantly advertising videos

When is the # 2 video going to be released?
(I'm getting so I know what you're gonna say next in the first one)
(( that does not mean I can now turn bowls it just means I've watched the video too many times)) :) :)

Hi Stoppy

We are working hard on getting everyone together to film it, but coordinating schedules has been tough. Right now we are hoping for a March date to film. If all goes like last time, it will be a few months after that before it is released. The good news is, everyone who was involved on the first one should be involved in the second one, and we are all experienced at working together, so that should make things go a little faster this time around. The goal is to shorten the editing process somewhat, and get it to market as soon after filming as possible.

I appreciate Bill answering questions about his upcoming video. But at some point it actually does become free advertising. If folks have other questions about his video I'm going to ask that you email him directly. He can probably post all sorts of status about it on his website. Thanks in advance.
