Ed, those tops are gorgeous! Yo-yo’s not bad either! You just inspired me for a Covid gift for my grandsons. Where do you get the tips for the tops?

These five boxes were all made from a buckthorn branch that was less than 2 1/2" diameter with the bark. The 3 with bark on are approximately 2 1/8" diameter, the 2 without bark are about are about 1 5/8" diameter and they all have a 1 3/8" - 11 thread.

I have made tips for throw tops from double headed nails, I just grind away the top head to a point and cut the shank to the desired length.
