I have not tried this, I'm just passing it along. Search "Lost Art Press soap finish" for more hits over the past 10 years or so. I don't think I would use it for food contact pieces, the reasons should be self-apparent.

I'm not sold on soap as a finish either. I agree with you. But someone here will try it and let us know what they think of it.

Come on guys, you know you can use soap on those bowls and all you need to do is put them in water to wash them when its time for cleanup.................
