I like how acrylic blanks come in a zillion combinations of swirls and such, but I'm looking for a source of solid color blanks. I mostly need primary colors, but a few variations would be nice too.

I'm mainly wanting to combine bands of solid acrylic as accents to wood pen bodies.

I'd also be open to using an epoxy of some sort plus a die to create my own.

I appreciate any help the members can offer.

Charlie, you might look at Corian (and knock-offs) scraps. I've used them successfully - even cutting them thin and glueing red-white-blue together to make bands for the Freedom Pen Project. Really works well. And turns very well also.

PVC rod comes is lots of solid colors, turns easy, and is pretty cheap - perfect for pens. Here's a source I've used before: Modern Plastics

And this supplier carries lots of solid color cast acrylic rod: Delvies Plastics
