This was a very spalted piece that I had turned the outside maybe almost a year ago. I wasn't sure if I could save it so put it on the shelf for later. Saw it the other day and decided to see what I could make of it. Sure didn't get much of shaving with the hollowing!:D More like pieces of fiber and crumbs lol. The inside of the rim is miss shapen from sanding but adds more character I guess. It looks almost like a dish from a few hundred years ago to me .
Finished with shellac.
