This was a very spalted piece that I had turned the outside maybe almost a year ago. I wasn't sure if I could save it so put it on the shelf for later. Saw it the other day and decided to see what I could make of it. Sure didn't get much of shaving with the hollowing!
More like pieces of fiber and crumbs lol. The inside of the rim is miss shapen from sanding but adds more character I guess. It looks almost like a dish from a few hundred years ago to me .
Finished with shellac.
