A week ago, our club trailer and all our club lathes were stolen. If anyone hears of someone trying to sell JET 1220 lathes (6-speed) please let me know at ckemp001@columbus.rr.com. The lathes were stolen in Columbus, OH and all of them have been modified by removing the factory light and having a bracket installed to hold a Moffett snap-on light. These lathes were used at club meetings and for our version of the Young Turners Program.

Thanks in advance for keep you eye out for our equipment.

Central Ohio Woodturners (COW)

Can I shoot them first before reporting the recovery of the lathe. I'm really getting tired of thiefs and I personally think Public hanging should come back. :)

Sorry for the loss that sucks. I wouldn't lathes are that hot of a item. Do they have a SR# at all or any distinctive marks someone could se ein a pic on ebay or craigs list. Might help awareness.

Well that sucks! I will be sure to keep an eye out in this area of the state. I hope you manage to recover them.

Greg

The sad part of crimes like this, is the damage created in excess of value received by the perps. It's possible the target was only the trailer, with the lathes dumped and destroyed. Like punching a hole in a gas tank ($$$$ to repair or replace) to recover only a few bucks worth of fuel.

Best wishes for recovery and prosecution.
