The Bayou Woodturners will host a "Weekend with Stuart Batty" on April 21 & 22, 2007. The demonstrations will vary from AM to PM and from Saturday to Sunday.
Non-member of The Bayou Woodturners are invited to attend for $50.00 for both days. If they chose to join The Bayou Woodturners, $10.00 will be applied to their $25.00 annual membership.
The demonstration will be held in Harahan, LA, a small village just west of New Orleans. Lots of local hotel space available within 5 miles of the hall.
A Subway lunch, drinks, snacks, etc. will be provided on site and is included in the cost of the demonstration.
For more information contact Joel Blazek at 504-401-2599 or info@bayouwoodturners.com

It would almost be worth the 500 mile drive to go with Stuart to the French Quarters at night!

For those who haven't seen Stuart demo, you are in for a heck of a treat. Well worth the money.

Going with Stuart to the French Quarters !!! Sounds like a night to make sure bail money is stuck in the boot bottom!!! :D

I second the demo will be a treat - If I did not have to be in Gainesville the next weekend for Southern States Symposium with Mike Mahoney and crew I would sure try to come down!!

It should be interesting for anyone who tries to take advantage (rob) of Stuart. He also teaches martial arts. Probably don't want to make a grab for that wallet.
Seriously...He is a very gifted turner and he is very good at sharing what he has learned while being very entertaining. Enjoy his demo.
