Swatting Gnat, Stomped By Elephant

Just curious, but unless I'm dense (who, ME?), I think that may not have been the link you meant to post. Or then again, I may only need to go get that 2nd cup of coffee . . .
 
Compared to spores, this IS an elephant. Unlike spores, it was carrying lunch when it began the journey into a hostile environment.
 
Ah, yes, I'm more familiar with a similar phrase that refers to "Swallowing a gnat," :p but between your explanation and that 2nd cup of coffee, I get it now--and certainly agree. :)
