Boeshied dries to a ‘dry wax’, I spray it on and wipe with a paper towel to spread it and leave a thin coat covering the ways (do the same on the bottom of my banjo and tailstock every once in a while). Hasn’t affected the paint on my PM 3520 in over a decade of doing this.
Wings of my Craftsman table saw were stamped steel painted black--12 years of Boeshield had no impact on them.
(that saw is cleaned up and ready to list--has been replaced with a 1988 PM66...different class of saw!!)
