Got the opportunity to visit John's shop today/ What an outstanding time. He got my tools "reground" for this beginner to have a chance. Plus gave me some tips. Showed me a good beginner practice project and how to cut it. Now, to do my part and practice.
What a pleasure meeting him and thanks to his patience, I learned!

Thanks,
Regis

It's always fun to meet a new turner. We had a good time. He had already done a pretty good job of grinding most tools so it didn't take much. I think we are looking at a a new turner who is going to excel. Thanks for coming up Regis. Made my morning. Oh I finished the little box piece bottom I started when I was showing you the hollowing tricks. I will work on a lid tomorrow if I get time.

John is an outstanding guy- usually standing in a pile of wood shavings. ;) He is always eager to share his knowledge and expertise to all woodturners.
He has had demos at our chapter meetings plus I had a chance to visit another chapter when he did a demo on sharpening turning tools.

Reed someday you and I will hopefully have a play date. We could learn so much from each other. Heck I might even like scraping. :)
