The Call for Demonstrators is on the AAW web site

http://www.woodturner.org/sym/sym2011/DemoApp/

If the October 15 deadline seems far away now it won't in September.

Have a great "about to be known" demonstrator in your local club encourage them to apply. An endorsement from a club president sent to the Symposium committee will carry some weight.

Realize the competition is stiff but there is also a bit of luck. A goal of the selection process is to get a balance of subjects. For example on year an invited Box Maker had to drop out. Both applicants with box demos got selected. They had to have a good proposal but there were some terrific hollow form demos turned down that year.

If you do something special or some common thing especially well try to share it at the Symposium.
