thread being moved

thread being moved.

Steve-There was a thread written by dragonhollow entitled "I am mad". The info was there as to what he wrote, but "moved" is written as has many others during the brouhaha. There are no other items to the right -just dashes. What link gets me to the "moved" items. Not really looking into them-just trying to navigate. Computers and me don't mix, but I am trying to learn!!! Gretch

Link to the moved thread works the same as those not moved, in Firefox at least. Click the thread title. To avoid regeneration time upon exit, Right click for menu to "Open in a New Window."

Gretch:

I think what you have written is a Freudian slip - The title of the thread that was started is "I am sad..." and was moved, as Steve said.

I tend to agree with your subconscious mind - I, too, am mad about that whole issue....

Now back to your regularly scheduled woodturning discussion already in progress.....

Right Rob-must be the drugs I am on (surg on the 27th) . I really was only asking it to learn about the computer. I am not sure still why it says "moved " (several threads ago) and they are still "there". Didn't quite understand Steve's suggestion. But maybe all the browsers handle things differently. I have Firefox. Gretch

Not the browser, but the forum software that presents things. Check your settings?

How to find where it went

When you click on

Moved: I am sad....
dragonhollow

It takes you to where it was moved. To figure out where you now are (where it was moved) look in the blue outlined box under the AAW name and logo and you will see:

AAW Forums > Main Category > AAW Information
I am sad....

Which tells you it (and you) went to the AAW Information forum.

When you click on your browser's "return" button you end up back in the
AAW Forums > Main Category forum, which is why you could not figure out where it went.

Happy surfing.
Ann

Thanks Ann, but it was not intuitive-I followed your instructions and found all the garbage that I missed-and it will stay missed. I'm tired of it.
However I wanted to know more about the computer stuff and unless I had these step by step instructions, I am not sure I will be able to do this again where there is something that I really should see.....Gretch
