You obviously haven't tried the new line of Demented John's Variable Pitch Thread Chasers.
The variable pitch taps and dies didn't work out so well in the woodturning test market. Kind of got me in a jam. What a bunch of whiners.

It's almost like a good friendly banter between friends.Abbot and Costello had some meandering conversations.... I am used to getting lost in conversations..... One of my favorite threads here is one started by Odie, What's on your lathe. Who knew how long it would get, but it does come back to the original title....
