Hi all. I'm a full time finish carpenter/cabinet maker here in Upstate NY. I've spent 35 years doing my best to make wood flat and square and purchased my Delta Midi on a whim 2 years ago. I was hooked instantly! I've never had a lesson or even watched someone else turn other than on YouTube. I've amassed a collection of 27 chisels, some of which I can't even name, lol. I've tried about everything I've seen on YouTube including eccentric turned goblets, a winged bowl, flowers and Christmas trees.
I'm looking forward to learning new techniques and getting new turning ideas from this forum!
Welcome aboard Todd. Looks like you have gotten a good start. Try finding a club as there is lots to learn talking with other turners. Sounds like you have a great gouge collection already. You have questions , someone here will have answers.
Welcome and complements on the turnings.
Used to live in the other end...Queens, NY. People always picture NYC with its brownstones and high rise buildings. Not aware of the beauty of the rest of the state.
