I have been turning for a couple of years now. I started with wood carving and try to incorporate some carving in some of my turnings. I am in Silverton, Oregon and am looking forward to attending the AAW Symposium in Portland next month. I have a Colt midi lathe, so turn mostly smaller things, ornaments, bowls etc. I am really enjoying turning and it is beginning to crowd out some of my other hobbies. I am retired, and spent 35yrs. teaching elementary school.

Howdy Tom!
I'm a beginner/novice turner that lives in Albany.
Welcome to AAW and I hope to meet you in Portland.
Mike
