I got this on Ebay, It says "Linder".. I assume it's a skew. But 1/2 by 1/2? And it has these weird grooves going down one side? Any idea why it's so thick?

You are right sir.. Just looked for mortising chisel and they look exactly like mine... I got to watch what i buy on Ebay.. darn

It’s certainly sharpened like my Robert Sorby Bedan. Mine is not square in section though, it has a very slight triangular shape to it.
