I am expermenting with thin turnings and would love some feedback from you 'pro's' on which woods that you have found to be the best for translucent turnings. I know that finish will also play a big part in the process. Any comments? And oh yes, I know all about Norfolk Island Pine.

Not mentioned on the previous thread is citrus. I have turned both orange and grapefruit and they are both translucent when you get them down to about 1/8 inch in thickness.
