It seems odd that an ice cream cone would be my choice for TOTW, especially in December. But for our woodturning family in the southern hemisphere, it will soon be their warm months. And this tugged at a youthful summer memory.

@Steven Gordon's Dropped Ice Cream Cone was a very well-turned replica of a tasty soft-serve summer treat. From the markings on the cone, to the swirls of the soft serve ice cream, everything looks exactly as I remember as a child. Even the well carved 'splooshed' ice cream tip as it hit the sidewalk. Yes, I recall those memories, too. Thanks for my stumble down memory lane, Steven. You made it as real as I remember.

Great choice Donna!

Congratulations Steven!!

Outstanding choice Donna and congratulations Steve! Many of us have faced the disappointment of our ice cream hitting the ground; you have nailed it with this piece. I’m curious as to what you’ve done to maintain the balance of the piece! Well done Steve!!
